Information Technology & Digital Transformation
The Corporate IT and Digital Transformation Service are looking to appoint two Information Systems Analysts to support the implementation of the Council's Modernisation Programme, with particular focus on the specification and delivery of customer-facing processes and systems. Initially, the role will be to facilitate workshops to document existing processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for change and the introduction of technology to improve the customer experience. Leading on from this, new ways of working can be designed and the post holder will specify requirements to deliver and embed these changes. Ability to implement and support IT systems would be an advantage.
Please note that the post is a Fixed Term contract. Internal applicants wishing to be seconded should seek approval from their current line manager.
You must be a motivated, organised, excellent communicator with the proven ability to work to deadlines - individually and as part of a team.
You will be expected to work on Corporate and Service led projects aimed at modernising the way the Council works, delivering innovative technology solutions to reduce costs, realise efficiencies and improve service delivery.
You should have demonstrable experience and skills in the following: Project Management; Business or Systems Analysis, Systems Design, Systems Development (e.g. integration, scripting or data extraction/import), Implementation, Support and/or Database Administration.
Candidates qualified to HNC / Degree level in a Computing or Business Systems related subject are desirable.
Good communication skills in written and spoken English are essential and the ability to speak and write through the medium of Welsh would be desirable in assisting the Department to provide a bilingual service to clients.
