This is a fixed term 18 months post, and due to the nature of funding for apprenticeships by the Welsh Government we are only able to consider applications from candidates between the ages of 16 and 24. Also those not educated to degree standard.
We've created an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join the IT Service Desk in Conwy as a Modern Apprentice.
We're looking for a highly motivated and dedicated team player, keen to progress and assist in the delivery of IT Services to the Council's 2500+ users as we modernise the way we work. Although based on the Service Desk, you will also gain experience across other areas of IT as part of your training.
In partnership with Grwp Llandrillo Menai you will work towards an NVQ level 2 in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms.
Possessing a minimum of 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) in Maths, English and a Computing/ Science related subject, you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of different areas of IT. You'll also need to have the ability to work individually or as part of a team to deliver excellent IT service to our customers.
