This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multi- disciplinary team in the school-based aspect of the 11-24 ESF TRAC Strategic Objective 2 Project for Conwy County Borough Council. This is part of a North Wales Regional ESF Project led by Denbighshire County Council and will focus on young people most at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Training or Employment).
The post holder will work closely with 11-19 year old learners who are identified by the multi-disciplinary team as needing support and intervention with their mental, social and emotional well-being. The role requires the skills to establish close home/ school links and the ability to act as an advocate to secure services from other agencies.
With a relevant professional qualification, you will have direct experience of working with young people who have mental health, emotional, social issues. We are looking to recruit a post holder with effective interpersonal skills, high level communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi- disciplinary team.
As Conwy has large rural areas, a full driving licence and use of a car is essential.
As the team works in a bi-lingual area, the ability to communicate in both Welsh and English would be desirable.
