Do you enjoy meeting people of all ages? Are you passionate about books and reading; knowledgeable about IT and committed to providing an excellent service to customers? Are you outgoing, flexible and full of energy?
If so, you will be interested in this vacancy for a flexible person to provide relief cover for libraries throughout the County Borough.
Candidates should have a good standard of education to GCSE level (or equivalent), and good ICT skills.
The Service deals directly with the public, therefore the ability to converse at ease with customers in Welsh is essential.
We promote equal access to our services for the whole community and would welcome applications from sectors that are currently under-represented within our team including men and young people. Appointments will be made on merit. The hours of work will be on an ad hoc basis and possibly at short notice and will include working during the daytime, evenings, and on Saturdays. We are particularly looking for staff that will be available to work during school holidays.
Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
