The Emergency Duty Team provides a service to children and families, vulnerable adults and people with mental health problems outside of normal working hours. The shifts are Mon to Fri from 5pm until 9am (16 hours), Sat & Sun from 9am to 9am (24 hours) and Bank Holidays: 2 shifts; 9am until 5pm & 5pm until 9am.
You must be contactable at all times during the stated shift period and must be prepared and able to work if the situation warrants it.
We are looking for experienced level 3 social workers to join the team. A Degree in Social Work, DIPSW, CQSW or equivalent, AMHP Qualification and a sound knowledge of relevant legislation is essential. Previous experience in handling emergency situations is also essential.
As the team works in a bilingual area the ability to communicate in both Welsh and English would be desirable.
