Venue Cymru is the region's busiest Entertainment and Conference Centre. The venue comprises of a 1500 seat auditorium, an Arena that can accommodate 2500 standing combined with prestigious Conference and Exhibition facilities. We are now recruiting for a Restaurant Manager to join our Front of House Services team.
As the postholder will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant catering service in Venue Cymru including Y Review, excellent customer service skills are essential.
We require a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and people management skills and proven literacy and numeracy skills. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in the Hospitality industry including running a restaurant and banqueting events and have a thorough knowledge of relevant food hygiene and Health & Safety legislation.
Previous cash handling experience and understanding of stock control systems are essential as well as experience of working in busy and pressurised circumstances.
This is a permanent full time post with the hours of work being on an annualised hours contract working for an average of 37 hours a week arranged in accordance with the agreed system of working on a shift rota basis and includes weekend, evening and bank holiday working.
To ensure adequate bilingual provision within the section, the ability to converse at ease with customers and reply to simple correspondence through the medium of Welsh as well as English is essential for this post. However, we would welcome applicants who are prepared to improve their Welsh Language skills to the required level within an agreed period.
