An opportunity has arisen in Conwy for a permanent role as a Deputy Residential Manager in our new care home in Mochdre.
The new purpose built home delivers careers and experiences that are challenging, rewarding, and differentiated by our values in working together to make a positive difference to the lives of children to ‘have the best life’ possible.
We do this by providing children and young people with a safe and supportive environment and a fulfilling experience where their voice is heard and centred on their individual needs and what’s important to them.
We look for people who share our values and we are seeking to recruit a Deputy Residential Manager to join our team.
This is a real opportunity to influence the development of the new service and embed trauma informed child centred therapeutic practice into the day to day running of the home. The children you support will have experienced numerous adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and you, by supporting the Registered Manager in leading the team, will ensure that they are able to help young people understand and recover from their experiences and develop new skills and resilience into adult life.
As the deputy manager you will be required to support the registered manager to:• Manage the delivery of operational responsibilities• Ensure compliance with the standards within the regulated service.• Ensure services are delivered in line with the Social Services Well Being Act.
The ability to talk with service users in the medium of Welsh is desirable and we actively encourage applicants with Welsh fluency.
