Work base: Nant y Bryniau Education Centre
Applications are invited for the role of Level 3 Teaching Assistant at Nant-y-Bryniau to support adolescents with mental health needs in a CAMHS hospital setting. The education centre provides a wide range of curriculum options for young people aged 12 -18. Working under the direction of teaching staff, the Teaching Assistant will support academic work in the classroom and creative, social and physical activities. The post involves close daily working relationships with members of the other disciplines at the hospital - medical, therapy, nursing, and social work.The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, confident to; support across various subjects in a classroom setting and deal with challenging situations while being equally comfortable facilitating re-integration to mainstream settings across north Wales and to access activities in the community.
Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
It is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment
