The Safeguarding & Legal Team requires a dynamic, organised Team Manager willing and able to support social workers in managing complex case work effectively. Having good knowledge of Child Protection, Public law Outline, Proceedings and the Adoption process whilst meeting the needs of looked after children during transition and long term planning: Contributing to service developments and innovations. The successful candidate will play a key role in making a real difference to the lives of children and families who may be experiencing crisis. The role will involve supporting a team of 8 social workers, 2 FIT workers and 1 Duty Officer alongside another Team Manager. You will effectively be monitoring the statutory obligations of the team and driving forward standards to achieve best practice.
In order to be eligible to apply you must have the Social Work degree or an equivalent social work qualification, CQSW or DipSW with a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience and good knowledge of relevant legislation. You will be required to demonstrate supervisory experience and a commitment to continuing professional development both your own and your team.
